When I visited in March 2020 there were very little in the way of blooming flowers. The garden is not planted for seasonal blooms. The Alice in Wonderland exhibit has been torn out and not replaced. With four separate visits over two years under my belt (March, April, October & December), I've never seen the mermaid exhibit in bloom. In all cases, the feature exhibits were "down for maintenance". I have yet to make a visit where this place is fully in bloom. I have been three more times since then including a few days ago. I wrote a five star review when I visited in March 2020 just before the shut down. I am changing my opinion on the Botanical Gardens. We decided to leave and not visit the garden, since the experience was ruined for us. We made the trip solely on the word of their customer service personnel. They could have offered a discount or even been a little nicer. This could have been done in a better way. The person that was called in not so nice terms told us we could not enter. When I asked for a supervisor the young woman at smirked and was unpleasant. I explained that I called specifically to ask if we could visit with my membership and told customer service where I had my membership. When we arrived at the gate we were told we could not use our membership from another garden to enter. We drove more than an hour to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, parked in the parking lot that charges by the hour. I called The Atlanta Botanical Gardens and asked if the membership at my current botanical gardens allowed me to visit there. Gardens within 90 miles of the garden where you hold our membership can sometimes be excluded, so it’s best to call ahead, if you have any questions before visiting I read you can visit other botanical gardens with your membership as part of a reciprocal program. I have a membership in another botanical garden in Georgia. I just didn't feel like what I saw was worth the price of admission. My partner seemed to enjoy the gardens much more than I did. I should note, that I am not a "flower person". The second section did have more flowers, but for me, it was not worth the price. I was feeling like I spent $56 for two individuals to walk on a concrete path through the woods. The first section we visited had very few flowers (again, it is fall). That way, you don't have to worry about arriving on time.Īs far as the garden, there are two main sections. I am just letting everyone know that it was not crowded (at least on a Thursday) and that you could easily walkup (with no waiting) and purchase a ticket for immediate entry. With the virus, I understand the reasoning for timed tickets. We were told we could not enter before 3:45 pm (even thought the garden was not crowded) unless we upgraded our tickets to a "Flex' ticket for $5 per each (which we did). We had tickets for 4 pm and decided to see if we could enter at 1 pm because we completed our first attraction more quickly than expected.

First, I would not recommend the timed tickets. I have no doubt it would be better in the spring. I can only review what I experienced on my trip in late September.
